OUR DEVELOPMENT
From self-tuning control to XC05Edge
We introduced one of the first truly adaptive industrial control systems based on self-tuning principles more than 30 years ago. Since then, we have delivered adaptive and self-learning control systems in more than 50 complex projects across steel, energy and district heating, achieving documented improvements in control accuracy and production performance.
Founder Gunnar Bengtsson previously led long-term control-system research at ASEA/ABB Research. The work behind First Control combines control theory, industrial commissioning experience and product development for demanding real-time applications.
We have now taken the next step with XC05Edge—an edge platform that lets process engineers combine automation and control with AI and other advanced functions. XC05Edge is also a full-scale ICS/PLC system, built on low-cost standard electronics while offering performance comparable with powerful industrial control systems.
