In the XC05Edge you can run normal control and automation together with AI and other advanced functions made in Python and Modelica. The automation layer runs on a dedicated CPU core completelty isolated from AI and other compute-heavy functions.

Use the Modelica tools to build realistic training scenarios—either full process models or targeted exercises (e.g., control theory). Students then work in the same automation environment they would use on the real plant, with access to classical control and adaptive control modules.
Trainíng setup. You can construct your won training schedule in Python and run it in XC05Edge.

Real-time simulations: Control and AI research is often validated in offline simulations. A more realistic approach is to run the same models in real time inside XC05Edge.
Experimental processes. XC05Edge also suits experimental processes: researchers can integrate advanced tools—e.g., AI—to analyze data live during operation, not just post-process it.
