MicroController XC
Expansion of signal interfaceFirst Control I/O expansion cards
The expansion cards are multifunction cards with a mix of process signals, mostly analog, that will fit normal automation needs. For the moment there are two such cards, see below. In case more digital signals are needed, we recommend one of the solutions with SIOX or WAGO components described elsewhere in this site.
The expansion cards are connected to the MicroController XC unit via a standard 1 Mbit/s CAN bus. The expansion units can be placed at a maximal distance of 10 m from the base unit, which gives a good freedom in the mounting of the card in an electrical cubicle.
You may connect up to 5 expansion cards to each MicroController XC unit. Each card will take about 7 msec from the CAN bus to be completely processed.
